I have my macbook pro service 3 times in Anaheim store. This one time I make a big mistake of bringing to Fountain Valley store because its closer to my new home. I inform them about the PSC on excessive repair if they replace the motherboard again I want a replacement instead. The tech said it was the lcd because it have no video but you can still hear the turning on sound. I said it's fine as long as it not the motherboard. They send it out to Apple and Apple replace the motherboard and E-cage. They call me to pickup and I said no because it is the lemon law where you suppose to get a replacement. They said it was a rework from Apple so it not qualify but wait it's more than 30 day from last repair. I even check on there PSC said as long as it more than 30 or else it consider rework. So I call try to talk to Assistant manager and all he said was he will give me a call back after he try to find out in couple day. I waited a week nothing happen. I call again and they said they will let him know. I got a call from Service Manager leaving me a voice mail that he talk to Rick (District Service Manager) and the Store Manager so that they are not gonna replace my laptop. I was upset and come in on Saturday to talk to the Store Manager Sam. All he said was nothing he can do if I have an issue call and talk to Rick Barajas about it and he even mention that he was there when his service manager left me a message about check with Rick if I have a problem. I replay the voice message infront of the Sam and he just say sorry if it not there but he will give me the number to call Rick. So I did call Rick and found out from Rick that I brought my unit in too many store that I'm trying something. I only brought my computer in to Anaheim and Fountain Valley. He said I did brought to Burban as well but I never did. So I get the info from GSX on my Apple repair and it does show 1 repair in burban but not a repair just a save for later that have nothing on it. I try to reason with Rick about the matter because it his tech fault for creating duplicate paper putting wrong store in it. So after all this and I try to tell him that will he honor the excessive repair under PSC. He said, "if you just want a differant unit then maybe I can find an open box demo unit to replace it with." I reply it's fine as long as it in good condition with no scratches. he said it will match my unit condition. I'm ok with it then I waited a week. I still got nothing from him or the store so I text him back about my case. He just reply "No I decided to stick with my original decision. Your unit is fixed and ready to be picked up." He didn't even call or text me to let me know about the matter. He even push that to the store and said he tell them on Monday to give me a call. So I argue with him some more but he said it's final. To people who read this DO NOT BUY FRY'S EXTENDED WARRANTY. They will not honor it. What they say is all lies. They don't care about you once they took the money. My next step right now is going to small claim court and sue them for this.
