  • Warranty Issue

Hi I went to Fry's Electronics in East La Palma Ave, Anaheim, California. Bought a laptop (Lenovo Think Pad) with 3 Year Warranty plan in July 2013. After 2 years without any issues, the Lenovo screen suddenly came of from the hinges. I could not able to open the Laptop Monitor. When I bought the warranty, they mentioned, it will cover everything. I can be worry free and if ANYTHING happens to laptop, just stop by and get it replaced or repaired depending on the issues. Now when I went their Yesterday 8/7/15, They mention that warranty will not cover the issue and I got so... More...

  • Poor customer service

I went to the Frys in Downers Grove, IL to purchase a $400. computer monitor. I called before I went and was told that they would price match an offer from a competitor. I told the saleswoman who the competitor was and she said they would match it. When I got there and picked out the monitor, I was told by another salesman that they would not honor it as they don't have it in their listing. I was disappointed, but i was already there and really wanted this monitor. I told the salesman I wanted to also get the extended service contract and he said they would take care of it at the... • Horrible Customer Service In-store

I went to the Fry's located off of Executive and Northwest in Dallas, TX in search of a new TV. I have never purchased a television before and had a lot of questions. I noticed almost immediately that the young Hispanic salesmen would not make eye contact or would go out of their way NOT to be available to help me when I would walk up to them. Twice, I had to take televisions off of the shelf, go to their main station and ask about the features on them as the stickers on the shelf did not include the information I needed. (I am a young female, so this became cumbersome very... More...

  • Fry Electronic Disgusting Service

So far I have had the worst experience with Fry Electronics and this is no small petty issue, it borderlines illegal. I purchased a $1 650.00 high-end custom build computer for my studies overseas. Upon its arrival I was met with a number of serious issues, all software installation disks were MISSING, the extra data cables that came with the products MISSING, thermal compound I purchased MISSING, immediately after booting it up for the first time the machine overheated due to the cooling unit and fans installed incorrectly, upon internal inspection data cables were broken (and not... • Complaint Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7"

I received the add in my Dec 25th newspaper advertising the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" at 99.99. I was at the Oxnard store when it opened at 7 this morning and there were none in the store no floor model nothing. I spoke with the Sales manager and store manager spent 2 hours in the store waiting for assistance. The store manage would only offer a Acer model which is inferior to the Samsung Model The Samsung Galaxy tab 3 7 is advertised for only $10 more. I offered to pay the $10 dollar difference on top of the sale price and the store did not have any as well. If the store is not going... More...

  • Fry's Customer Service

I am one of your good customers. I always shop for my electronic need. I am very much annoyed and disappointed about Fry's customer service at their Webster, TX location. I was shopping today, 9/24/13, at 2:00 PM. The employee of this store does not care about older /senior customer. They do not attend the Handicap register, which is out of service, refuse to help handicap because it is too far from the regular checkout counter. In spite of telling the store manager Jenifer, it took them almost one hour to get a refund. It is a huge complex, and it is very hard for a handicap... More...

Bad customer service each staff explains different procedures. Ask for supervisor and just another person answer. So I vent to the employee only to get the run of the deal. March 23, 2013- until now May 4, 2013, no calls explaining. The last call when I called because no use leaving information of email because none of your staff emails or call; so why take down the darn information. Long periods of waiting but per your last employee I am waiting for the approval to be replaced with compatible or credit. I asked when will it take because its been past 8 weeks to fix and now I have wait... More...

  • Hard to shop at this store.

I have complained to the store managers about this stores stocking and pricing nightmare in the past and they always have some lame excuse. I spend 20 to 30 min picking out a specific product and get to the register to find out it is a different price. Or I am standing in front of a section and 50% of the items are not even priced. I live a stone%u2019s throw from this store and the only things that bought me back where the prices and selection. I have been going to this Fry%u2019s for 20 years and now I think twice before I go. 85% of my electronics are now purchased on or at... More...

  • Fry's Electronics Will Scam you

Seriously the WORST experience I have had with online shopping. I ordered a book from them on 12/19/12 I paid extra for 2nd day shipping to be sure the item would be delivered prior to Christmas. Frys proceeded to ship me the item on 12/20/12. I received the book in a timely manner HOWEVER, the book I received looked like it had been drug on the floor on both the front and back and was permanently curled up like a newspaper would be to smack a spider. Needless to say I was not happy that someone actually put this sad looking book in a package to ship to me. I called their customer service... More...

  • Samsung 65" 1080P 120 HZ LED HDTV

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, not if its up to Frys!!! I bought a samsung 65" 1080P 120HZ LED HDTV on 11-21-12. We set it up after a wonderful Thangsgiving meal, feeling blessed. Well, our TV had 2 big spots on it with a line across it and NO picture, only could be seen once plugged in. So we took it back off the wall, boxed it up and took it back to Frys on the Gulf Freeway in Webster Texas the next day. We did NOT want to shop on black Friday..thats why we bought the TV early. • Dishonest Salespeople

CROOKS!!! I went to Fry's and the salesman knowingly sold me a laptop that had been previously returned by a customer and claimed it was a new one. There was a reduced price sticker with a reduced rate amount which turned out to be about $30.00. When I asked the salesman for a laptop that had windows 7 he said he had one left. When he brought it out he said the reason the box was previously opened was because he had showed it to a customer and assured me it was new. • Fry's Customer Service is awful. Online and in the Indy Store in Fishers, IN.

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I have never had such rotten service in my life! Both the online reps failed miserably and so did the store managers at the Fishers store in Indiana. The online department could not figure out how to allow me to use a gift card and a debit card at the same time. Really??!! How in the world was I to pay for the balance of my purchase without giving them a card info? Then I went into the store itself (by suggestion of the online reps) and the store screwed me over too. Told me that they didn't have the vacuum cleaner that I wanted in stock but they would either get it from another... More...

  • Fry's Electronics, Las Vegas.

Fry's Electronics, Las Vegas. Lying and deceitful service people on top of selling very poor quality products and bogus warranties. I bought an e-machine desktop for 300$ for my son to do his homework. A few months later it crashes and I bring it back because I purchased a warranty with it. I am told by the technician that if it is a software problem the warranty doesn't cover it and I will have to pay an additional 59$ to reinstall windows. They call me today and tell me I have to pay a 70$ diagnostic fee plus 100$ to reinstall windows. Total 170$ to reinstall windows. More...

  • Fry's does not honor posted sale price

My last frustrating trip to Fry's occurred yesterday May 27th at the Campbell store. Picked up a TP Link N adapter that was advertized for 3.99 (regular price 12.99), verified with a store employee that it was the advertized model, at checkout the non sales price came up, when I showed the flyer was told by a supervisor that the add was for a different model that was sold out. I asked for the model number of the sale item, she refuse to give it and walked away. Classic BAIT & SWITCH! It has happened before at the Sunnyvale store. More...

  • Disrespectful Service

I purchased a hard drive dock, along with several over items. The hard drive dock had a two dollar discount (open box) which was rung up incorrectly at checkout. No big deal, it was only two bucks I was fine with letting it go, however they weren't and cleared it up after 20 minutes of my waiting and gave me a separate tag for it. Now the horror story begins.. I get home, open the box and no power supply unit (missing). So the following day I take it back. • Frys Worst Customer Service

My husband bought external hard drive for my birthday. I was very happy to receive it as a gift. I downloaded all my pictures to give my computer room not thinking that Frys sold me a defected hard drive. I called Frys to ask them to take the pics out but they refused to help me unless I paid for the service. • AMAZING Computer customer service

I have received AMAZING customer service for the last 4.5 years from Fry's Electronics via my service contract for my Macbook at the Gwinett location. Whoever was working yesterday at the service deck, mainly the supervisor, was especially helpful. Since December 22, 2011 I have been dealing with Fry's Electronics Customer Service. I have called numerous times and contacted them regarding a gift card that was purchased in 2007. My brother's card was stolen in 2008 and reported it to Samantha Valencia, Customer Service. Subsequently, my card was placed as inactive and I did not receive any notification nor a replacement card. On December 22, 2011 I went to attempt to make a purchase for a Canon SLR Digital Camera that I have been wanting. When I tried to make the purchase my gift card was declined. These guys are liars and don't stand behind their products. Beware do not shop here you'll get ripped off. We purchased over 2,000 dollars worth of new computer equipment from them in August 2011 and were talked into the 3 year warranty. We purchased two identical LG Flatron Monitors with the package. • Fry's extended warranty fraud

We purchased a camera at Fry's in September 2011. A Sales Person talked us into buying extended warranty for that camera, saying that extended warranty covers absolutely everything, if you drop your camera in the lake and it stops working, the extended warranty would cover it. We had two little kids with us. He was saying that you have small kids, they can drop the camera, anything could happen, and all this would be covered by the warranty. Our camera stopped working in January 2012 for no reason. When we brought it to Frys for repair, I found out that the extended warranty covers... More...

  • Extended Warranty Woes - Replacement GPS is Downgrade

I bought a 2 year extended warranty when I got my new Garmin 1300 in around June of this year. Yesterday I turned it in for repair or what I thought was in-kind replacement. I asked specifically if the replacement would be equal to or better than the original since they did not have the 1300 in stock. Was told YES. I was given a quick look and all seemed well until I had to use it today. The replacement was a Garmin Nuvi 40. I have discovered I have a major downgrade. What do it do other than suck it up? Please note: I clearly stated I would be willing to PAY for an upgrade if needed... More...

So on June 1, 2011 I took my computer (which other than this time I had never had any problems with)to Fry's Electronics in Manhattan Beach, CA. I had a year left on my 3 year extended service contract so when I took it in they confirmed that the D/C jack needed to be replaced but that this was a covered service and it would be at no additional cost to me. • Customer service

I would suggest that the store manager review assignments for cash register checkers. At about 2:30 on 6 June, there were about 10 patrons awaiting checkout at Store #44, Oxnard, CA. There were two checkers manning cash registers. There was one manager (?) standing behind the checkers, observing; another manager (?) standing near the queue where the patrons entered for checkout; and a third person telling the patrons which of the two checkers to use. Three people managing the work of two is not very efficient. More...

My husband and I purchased an unlock cell phone from this sorry electronics store. The phone was in a large plastic sealed container (for security purposes) and the salesman said he couldn't open it for us (??) so we could check out the phone. We purchased the phone, brought it home and opened it. We noticed that the front of the phone had a cool, abstract design on it. When the phone wouldn't hold a charge, we took it back to Fry's to exchange. They opened the box and refused to exchange it because it had an internal crack in the screen. That's what caused the cool abstract design. Well...neither of us had ever seen an internal crack so, how would we know that's what it was? They refused to take it back, asked us why it took us 10 days to return (we were waiting for the SIM card to arrive in the mail, this was before we tried to charge it). Not sure why they jumped on us about that because we had 15 days to return it per store policy. So we are out $150.00. The original box was opened at FRY'S so they could unlock it. Did the break occur then? Do they break the phones on purpose to pad their profits?? Who knows. All we know is that we are NEVER returning to this store.

I bought a Samsung 51" plasma TV from Fry's electronics in Plano on December 18, 2011. They loaded it into my SUV and I took it home.
I was very careful with unloading of the TV and it was not dropped at all. I opened the box and found that the TV screen was cracked. I repacked box and took it back to Fry's.
They refused to take TV back or exchange it. They said that one cannot transport Plasma TV on its side. There is no such warning on box. I contacted Samsung and they said no such restriction. Samsung support said to take it back (the second time) and they would talk to the manager. I got there and then attempted to contact Samsung customer support. I could not get the original service represenative. Instead I got someone else who said they could not do anything to help.
Do NOT buy anything from Fry's electronics. Also, expect no support from Samsung either.

I made a purchase at Fry's store 29#, on a very expensive item. The item though was small enough to carry. I was never offered a bag to hold or conceal my purchase. I purchased a laptop Toshiba Q860 for $1,234.04. To make a long story short I was watched coming out of the store at about 12:32pm. I traveled with my kid's to "Subway" at hwy 6 and West Airport to get a sandwich at 12;45pm. In broad day lite and a full parking lot my vehicle was hit for a 'smash and grab". That was no coincidence. There were surprisingly no witnesses. It took the sheriff's department approximately 2 hour's to respond. Sheriff V. Ocampo #472 was courteous and apololgized for the delay and recommended I call Fry's for the serial number on the computer, which was "not on the reciept". (this is the only way to determine the stolen item) I had already called there 3 time's prior, only to recieve no response from store security or management. I finally recieved a call at 3:16 because of frustration I cannot remember the caller's name. I was told serial number's are only manifest on the extended warranty. I was also asked if it happened on property. I informed him that it was not, but that I needed the serial number for the police report. The caller was impatient and unconcerned for my loss. I will never shop at Fry's again, and I will tell everyone of this experience. Fry"s should think better of their customer's.

I would have to agree that Fry's Customer service is lacking. But if you go to the Northgate store I recommend talking to a Indian women in her 40s or this blond young guy, this guy is really really blond you cant miss him I found them to be the most helpful when looking for anything in the store. All the other employees are mostly asian people that dont know shit, no offence to asian people, and shoudnt be working there beacsue once you ask them something they go blank. Hopes this helps someone

I also learned DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT FRY'S ELECTRONICS! I made the mistake of buying a Sharp Air Conditioner for our Bayliner 2850 Contessa Flybridge boat just eight days ago at their Sacramento store. Although we opened it only to measure the width and discovered it is too wide for the back deck window, today Fry's Return Manager refused to give me my money back, saying they could only give me a gift card. We live in Stockton, 50 miles south, and I do not wish to ever buy anything at their store again, because they do not know how to treat a customer. It is hard to believe any major store would chase away customers during a Depression, but Fry's is so arrogant it is obvious they could care less. Maybe it comes from the top. John Fry built the largest golf course in America without getting any permits from the city of Morgan Hill, and got away with it. So this kind of arrogance probably filters down the ranks with a general theme of "Screw the stupid customers!" I hope this helps others prevent from getting screwed.
